Monday Mentoring is a group for teens who have expressed a dedication to Visual Arts or Mosaic Practice.
Students can choose to work in Drawing, Watercolour, Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Mosaic or Mixed Media.
Students design their own tasks with teacher guidance and are mentored through the process of completing the artwork at an appropriate skill level.

Mosaic Students have an assigned Tool Kit which they are responsible for keeping clean and tidy.
Mosaic Kits must stay in the studio. Mosaic materials are purchased as needed for individual projects. Visual Arts Students - KIT LIST Students are required to have their own materials for their area of interest. Basic kit should include: - Bag or box to store equipment - A3 or A4 Visual Diary - Graphite pencils H, HB, 2B, 4B - Hard eraser - Apron (or wear old clothes) - Waterbottle or Mug Students may require other specialty materials for their projects such as. - Acrylic paints - Acrylic mediums - Oil paints - Oil palette, cups, mediums, - Watercolour paints, masking fluid - Watercolour palette - Different Brushes for watercolour, oil or acrylic painting - Soft pastels - Oil Pastels - Blending stumps - Kneadable eraser - Compressed or Willow Charcoal - Speciality Papers - Stretched Canvases - Clay - Sculptural materials I can supply some specialty materials however others may need to be purchased. |
Discussion and cross pollination of ideas between students creates a dynamic environment.
