Andamento Level 4 is the fourth course in our online curriculum for mosaic and brings together skills learnt in Levels 2 and 3.
Level 2 focuses on dynamic andamento, learning to create movement, scale, and volume in mosaic without the use of colour. Level 3 focuses specifically on colour theory using the Munsell system. Level 4 brings these two things together in more complex (but still stand alone) investigations. We continue to focus on colour as a three dimensional concept implementing knowledge of Value, Hue and Chroma. Our palette building is more finely tuned and students can select to integrate larger tesserae and mixed media into their work. Andamento is generated through the examination of Value and Volume. Class StructureThe Level 4 studies need more time to plan, execute and resolve than earlier levels.
