Introduction to Colour Theory
This LIVE online class is designed for students who want to develop a more sophisticated understanding of colour theory for mosaic. Knowledge of colour supported with knowledge of andamento will help to build a strong visual language for your mosaic work.
We focus on understanding colour as three dimensional and complete specific exercises to implement knowledge of Value, Hue and Chroma.
We will learn about each technique in three ways.
1. Looking at mosaic examples.
2. Practicing the techniques through drawing.
3. Consolidating through making a physical sample.
4. Samples are started in class and finished for homework between lessons.
Allow approx. four hours of homework following each lesson..
