This is an optional consolidation class for students who have completed Andamento Level 1 and would like to put their skills into practice before moving forward to the next Level.
This class consolidates techniques from Level 1 with an additional emphasis on essential working methods,
1. Direct on Mesh
2. Indirect on Paper
Both of these techniques are commonly practiced in mosaic fabrication.

1. Classes are presented live via ZOOM you will need to DOWNLOAD ZOOM . This is free to access as I have a Pro Account for hosting classes. 2. Class notes, video links, PDF resources and communication will be via Google Classroom. 3. Classes are LIVE and all classes are recorded. Students have access to recordings through YouTube for up to one month after the course for consolidation. |

LEVEL 1: IN PRACTICE Includes
1. Preparing a design of a Roman Copy for the direct on mesh method. 2. Preparing a working board for the direct on mesh method. 3. Mixing thinset and setting tesserae on mesh. 4. Setting mosaic on mesh to a substrate. 5. Development of a Solomon's Knot design to work indirect on Paper. 6.Making Pasta Amido and working in the indirect method. 17. Back grouting, setting and grouting an indirect mosaic. Allow several hours of homework following each lesson. Homework is uploaded to Google Classroom where written feedback is provided each task. |
