Mosaic is a time-honoured art form, firmly grounded in history yet alive with relevance today. Unearthed fragments from ancient sites remind us of stories built with stones of the past. In Grounded, artists continue this tradition, creating works that speak of place, habitat, and home. Using materials drawn from the earth - stone, minerals, porcelain, metal and glass, they reveal mosaic’s enduring ability to ground us in memory, material, and meaning.
The participating artists are Pip Enever, Robyn FitzRoy, Gill Green, Kim Hallam, Caitlin Hepworth, Vicki Jackett, Andrea Ketterling, John Mathews, Galia Menin, Christine Stickley, Pat Watson, Linda Weiss, Xanthe Wells, and Sally Zylberberg.
