online adults' ART class

Technology Required
1. Classes are presented live via ZOOM you will need to DOWNLOAD ZOOM . This is free to access as I have a Pro Account for hosting classes.

​2. Class notes resources and communication will be via Google Classroom. To access this you will need a Gmail email address. This is free and I will invite you to join our classroom. You can get a gmail account HERE

3. Classes are LIVE and recorded. Students have access to recordings for one month after each class to enable catching up or consolidation. Recordings come to you through a Hightail link and are not downloadable. Accessing Hightail is FREE to students as I pay for the storage and streaming  service.

Work along with me as we explore a number of approaches to drawing and watercolour painting. 
A relaxed and creative 2 hour class learning, practicing and implementing a range of techniques.

Presented over zoom with live demonstration. To participate you will need to set up a small work area where you can access your materials and easily see your computer or ipad. 
Grab a cup of herbal tea or glass of wine, relax, learn and explore a range of techniques.

Term 2 2022 Tasks Include
1. Pencil Drawing - Circle to Sphere
2. Charcoal Pencil - Bumble Bees in flight
3. Soft Pastels - Autumn Leaves
4. Watercolour Fungi - Part 1
5. Watercolour Fungi - Part 2
Material Needed.
1. A4 or A3 Visual Diary or sketch book
2. A3 Cartridge Paper or drawing paper
3. Set of Graphite Pencils
4. Hard Eraser and Kneadable Eraser
5. Watercolour Paints - student set of pans or tubes
6. Watercolour Brushes
7. Watercolour Palette or plastic lids
8. 2 x Jars for water
9. Paper Towel for blotting and drying brushes. 
​10. 1 x Charcoal Pencil (black)
11. Watercolour Paper (300gsm is best)
12. Soft Pastels or pastel pencils 
13. Drawing board or firm flat surface to work on.
14. Colour Fix Paper or Dark Pastel Paper

Class Description: An  art class designed for beginners or near beginners in a range of mediums. Colour Theory and the Elements and Principles of design are embedded within each lesson.  Each new material and technique is explicitly taught, demonstrated and practiced in directed tasks. The work of other artists is regularly shown and discussed in relation to techniques and materials, techniques and subject matter being explored.
